Ultrasound Services

Our diagnostic ultrasound services are by physician order only. We maintain the highest level of quality in all of our images by following the ACR and AIUM standard in imaging protocols. Each exam has an included patient information and exam prep document. Any questions in regards to the appropriate exam to order don't hesitate to call our office.

Abdominal Ultrasound

Abdominal ultrasounds are used to evaluate the entire abdomen or specific set of organs. Some indications for abdominal ultrasound would be abdominal pain, liver disease, abnormal liver function tests, evaluation from free fluid, are among a few. There are no specific contraindications for abdominal ultrasound.

Gynecologic | Pelvic Ultrasound

Pelvic ultrasounds give detailed information to providers in regards to pelvic organs and structure, masses and lesions, and any free fluid present in the pelvis. Some indictions would be pelvic pain, abnormal lab values, and IUD check. There are no specific contraindications for pelvic ultrasound.

Thyroid Ultrasound

Thyroid ultrasounds evaluate the thyroid organ itself, as well as, lymph nodes, surrounding vasculature, and other soft tissue structures. Some indications would be palpable lump, enlarged thyroid, and abnormal lab values. There are no specific contraindications.

Scrotal | Testicular Ultrasound

Testicular ultrasound is used to evaluate the structural anatomy of the scrotum and testicles, vasculature, and inguinal canal. Some indications include acute testicular pain, palpable lump, and male infertility. There are not absolute contraindications.

Carotid Ultrasound

Carotid ultrasound is used to determine if there is occlusion within the carotid and vertebral arterial system. Indications include history of stroke symptoms, arterial screening, and history of other arterial stenosis. There are not absolute contraindications.

Venous Ultrasound

A venous ultrasound looks at the upper or lower extremities venous system to evaluate for thrombosis, blood clots. Indications include acute pain in the limb, warmth and redness in a localized area, and prolonged bedrest or immobility. There are no absolute contraindications.

Obstetric Ultrasound

Ultrasound is the go to method of imaging to evaluate a pregnancy. The scan evaluates the health and well being of baby and surrounding maternal structures. Indications include dating and size, survey of fetal structures, and history of previous pregnancy complications. There are no absolute contraindications.

Renal | Kidney Ultrasound

This ultrasound evaluates the kidneys' and bladder's structure, vasculature, and position in relation to surround structures. Indications include clinical suspicion for kidney stone, flank pain, and prolonged UTI with concern for kidney infection. There are no absolute contraindications.

Additional Medical Ultrasounds Available

We offer specific localized examinations for a number of other anatomic locations including: appendix, hernia, any soft tissue area, aorta, OB biophysical profile, limited breast for palpable or acute symptoms. Please call for any questions in regards to an exam type that is not listed.

Elective Obstetric Ultrasound

We are happy to offer elective obstetric ultrasound at any point in your pregnancy! You do not need a physician order, book online or call to schedule! At these appointments you can listen to baby's heart beat, find out the gender of your baby or see your baby in beautiful 3D/4D HDlive with the latest technology!
